The Boy Scouts of America has released a new Youth Protection Training program for all adult leaders. The new training is more comprehensive and relevant, and will better prepare adults to recognize, respond to, and report possible child abuse.

All adults currently registered with the BSA must receive the new training before October 1, 2018. After June 1, 2018, any adult accompanying a Scouting unit on an activity for 72 total hours or more must be registered as an adult leader and receive the new training. Furthermore, it is the policy of the Hudson-Delaware LDS Regional Scout Encampment that all adults attending camp must take Youth Protection Training regardless of the duration of their stay.

You can take the new training now by visiting my.scouting.org. By October 1, 2018, all adult leaders must update to the new training, regardless of when their previous training was scheduled to expire. For more information, see here (PDF).
